I decided to do my updates the beginning of the months because my last perm was the beginning of June around this time. I'm starting a new job on Monday also and during orientation I have to get a picture ID, so I decided to do my update tonight since I'll be straightening my hair for Monday.
Since I'm out of shampoo and waiting on my mom to go out and buy some more, (yeah I freeload while I can, and?) I still decided to deep condition and such and work my around this not being able to wash. I searched my kitchen pantry to see if I can find something that I can use for my hair, atleast olive oil. I didn't find EVOO but I did find Extra Light Tasting Olive Oil. Now I googled this up first before I used it and it wasn't a big difference between EVOO so I tried it anyway. I WILL now be adding this to my weekly regime, which is near what I did tonight.
What I did tonight:
- Wet hair
- Massage/Detangle a little with fingers with ELTOO per section.
- Massage Conditioner over hair and detangle with wide tooth comb then rinse.
- Co-washed with conditioner. (For now on I will be rinsing with a shampoo bar or shampoo after doing a Co-Wash with ELTOO or EVOO. But for tonight I had to co-wash again, I don't think it got all of the olive oil out.)
- Deep conditioned with butter treat per section, used Mane & Chics Baggy Method while I sat under the dryer for 25 to 30 minutes. (Used the baggy method only because I can't stay still for anything and the cap would move constantly when I did.)
- Barely rinsed butter treat out, not all of it.
After air drying I went back to my regular straightening regime.
- A dime size amount of Chi Silk Infusion before blow drying/blowing out all over hair.
- Normally I'd use Chi's Iron Guard for both blow drying and flat ironing but I can't find it. So I skipped this.
- By section, smoothed Silk Infusion over hair, and flat ironed.
The first picture is while air drying where you can see my new growth. Second is during my blow out, third is after I flat ironed.
