Right now this is my "it" leave-in. I brought it at Walgreens on sale and was iffy about it since it was so cheap. On buzzillions I was shocked because for a con it said not organic but when I read the back it was organic enough for me. Coming from nothing but chemical name brand products at least. Some Henna, rosemary, hawaiian awapuhi, chamomile, aloe vera and jojoba. Now again, I'm new to transitioning and also natural/organic products or ingredients so some of this stuff I didn't even know but just that it's suppose to be good. So anyway, I never heard of hawaiian awapuhi so I googled it and found this:
"The clear juice of the Awapuhi (ginger) flower was highly prized by Hawaii's early Polynesian settlers for its ability to bring shine and softness to their hair."
I've been using this leave-in for the past two weeks, if that, and I like it. I only straightened my hair once while using this and I used the leave before drying my hair. I still had the softness in my hair so it didn't do anything different negatively. As far as my wash and go's I love it. It's so light and the smell grew on me. Some of the leave-in's I used were thick and heavy but managed to the job only for wash and go's, but this leave-in is pretty versatile to me.
I now use this and the super skinny or some anti frizz for the shine and frizz control. My somewhat curls are softer after my hair has fully dried. I don't look like a rough six year old anymore at the end of the day when my hair is fully dried.
When my hair is straightened, at night I apply some lightly on my roots and edges and mainly focusing on my ends and do a baggy at night. And FRIGGIN WHOA in the morning. They feel like they did the first time I washed my hair in the week. Never getting too greasy or stiff and keeps it moisturized.
